For over 230 years The Crown Inn, nestled in the beautiful village of Farnham Royal on the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire border, has been making memories and can now be yours for your special day.
Our latest chapter, Chris Wheeler at The Crown Inn, builds on our heritage whilst offering a contemporary twist. In the heat of the summer, enjoy the views as you step out into our beautiful two-acre garden surrounded by fields and open greenbelt. Share your special day with up to 120 guests for a seated wedding breakfast, or 200+ for a ‘royal’ sharing feast, in our exclusive stretched tent before retreating into the Inn for your private after party.
For something more traditional, we offer an intimate seated gathering for 20 – 100 in our atmospheric, grade 2 listed, contemporary Inn complete with crackling fire should the season dictate.
Whether you choose a traditional wedding breakfast under our summer stretched tent or our famous ‘royal’ sharing experience they both showcase our commitment to offering high quality food in a comfortable and homely setting accompanied by great customer service.

The Venue
The Crown Inn offers a variety of exclusive spaces for your special day both within the Inn or al fresco in our extensive grounds. Whether an intimate setting for a more formal seated wedding breakfast or a more chilled festival feel within our two-acres of grounds, complete with stretch tent, either way your guests can enjoy the perfect after party in your very own Inn for the night as you can dance the night away and the festivities can continue in to the early morning.
With a variety of spaces to suit all parties and with a wedding breakfast beginning at only £49, prepared by the award winning chef Chris Wheeler you are assured of a amazing day whatever the season.
For a more intimate setting during Spring and Summer, our outside Pagoda’s offer an exclusive space to celebrate your special day, or inside we have the barn. For those slightly larger gatherings we have the garden room restaurant flowing out into the garden for those summer months. Or for larger weddings we can offer the Crown Inn ‘exclusively yours’, complete with our outside bar and stretch tent, full use of the Inn, with inclusive packages starting at £99 per person.

Chris Wheeler – Chef Patron
With a culinary journey that spans over three decades, Chris Wheeler, the acclaimed wedding chef, honed his skills alongside the renowned Jean-Christophe Novelli. His impressive career has been marked by innovative cuisine and a distinctive creative flair that has captivated guests throughout the years.
Having served as the right-hand man to Jean-Christophe Novelli and led the kitchens at the multi-award-winning Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire for nearly two decades, Chris Wheeler has garnered widespread acclaim for his ability to craft exquisite, mouth-watering dishes. His culinary prowess has earned accolades from both the international media and the countless guests who have savoured his creations.
In 2016, Chris was named Hotel Chef of the Year (over 250 covers) at the prestigious Hotel Cateys, a testament to his culinary excellence. Widely recognized, he has graced the screens of popular shows such as Saturday Kitchen, Sunday Brunch, and Great British Menu, entertaining millions with his culinary expertise.
